Northwest Michigan Amateur Radio Club (NMARC)

8ballThe Northwest Michigan Amateur Radio Club (NMARC) is a Ham Radio club based in Grand Traverse County Michigan USA. (Around Traverse City) The goal of the club is, first and foremost, to be a place for like-minded radio amateurs to interact and enjoy good fellowship. Rather then a stuffy business meeting, we choose to meet in a restaurant back room over food and drink.

The NMARC has as it goals to keep the politics out of the club and limit ourselves to the FUN parts of ham radio. Another goal is to promote ham radio to new Amateur Radio Operators and those who would like to become hams. You can contact Mike, K8LMJ (mike@mikedell.com) for more information on classes and VE test sessions in the Northwest Michigan Area.

Technology is a wonderful thing and because of this, we want to make the NMARC a place where new technology in communications is supported, discussed and utilized as much a possible.

Newcomers to the hobby are welcomed and will be mentored by the more experienced members of the group.

Watch this page for new information as we develop it.
